Hepatitis C is a chronic and infectious liver disease which leads to inflammation or swelling in the liver.
The chronic inflammation of the liver is caused due to a specific RNA virus. Also A, B, C, D, E are viruses that are known to affect the liver and produce Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis D and Hepatitis E respectively.
Following are the symptoms of hepatitis C: Hepatitis C virus not only leads to chronic inflammation of the liver but it also causes scarring of liver known as cirrhosis of liver. The virus multiplies quickly restricting the development of natural antibodies in required quantity. It slowly and silently destroys the cells of liver and people suffering from it may not even know about this infection for years. Whiteness of eyes, exhaustion, blood vomiting, depressions, appetite loss, weight loss, etc are some of the most common symptoms seen in patients undergoing hepatitis C. It can be aggravated by certain food habits and alcohol.
